Summary
Amazon Deal Helper does not collect, sell, or share personal data. Everything the extension saves stays in your own browser.
What the extension reads
On Amazon.com pages only, the extension reads the product information shown on the page (product ID, title, image, price and deal text) to show you deals and price history. It does not run on any other website.
What is stored, and where
- Price history for products you view (product ID, title, image URL, prices and dates).
- Your settings (badge on/off, search hints on/off).
This data is kept with Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. It is never sent to us or anyone else. You can delete it at any time from the extension's Settings page (“Clear history”) or by removing the extension.
What we do not do
- No accounts, sign-in, or servers.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or click tracking.
- No browsing history collection outside Amazon.com product and search pages.
- No sale or transfer of data to third parties.
Affiliate disclosure
When you click “Shop with deal”, the product page is reopened with our Amazon Associates tag. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. The tag is only added when you click; it is never added automatically or in the background. Amazon's own privacy notice applies to your activity on Amazon.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
